She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband, Steve, and their children. When she's not reading, writing, or editing books, Beth spends most of her time knitting endlessly while watching reruns of old TV shows and drinking lots of tea. Blake A. Hoena grew up in central Wisconsin, where, in his youth, he wrote stories about robots conquering the Moon and trolls lumbering around in the woods behind his parent's house - and the fact that the trolls were hunting for little boys had nothing to do with Blake's pesky younger brothers. Later, he moved to Minnesota to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Since graduating, Blake has written more than forty books for children, including retellings of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and the Perseus and Medusa myth. Most recently, he's working on graphic novels for Sports Illustrated Kids and writing stories about superheroes. Donald Lemke works as a children's book editor. He has written dozens of all-age comics and children's books for Capstone, HarperCollins, Running Press, and more. Donald lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with his brilliant wife, Amy, toddling toddler, Cleo, and a not-so-golden retriever named Paulie. Since 1986, Martin Powell has been a freelance writer. He has written hundreds of stories, many of which have been published by Disney, Marvel, Tekno comix, Moonstone Books, and others. In 1989, Powell received an Eisner Award nomination for his graphic novel Scarlet in Gaslight. This award is one of the highest comic book honors. Ricardo Tercio is a freelance illustrator from Lisbon, Portugal. He co-founded a production company and has made animation and videos for some of the top Portuguese musicians. Tercio also illustrated for large companies such as Hasbro toys. In 2007, he illustrated his first comic, Spider-Man Fairy Tales #1, for Marvel. Jeffrey Stewart Timmins was born July 2, 1979. In 2003, he graduated from the Classical Animation program at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. He currently works as a freelance designer and animator. Even as an adult, Timmins still holds onto a few important items from his childhood, such as his rubber boots, cape, and lenseless sunglasses. Sean Dietrich was born in Baltimore, Maryland and now lives in San Diego, California. He's been drawing since the age of 4. He had his first art show at age 6, self published his first comic book at 16, and has won more than 53 art awards throughout the years. When he's not drawing, Dietrich says he spends too much time in front of the TV playing video games. Erik Valdez y Alanis was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, and has been drawing since age 2. He uses his passion for art for illustrating, painting, and design work. Valdez has won a number of awards for his art including the L. Ron Hubbard Gold Award for Illustrator of the Future in 2004. He has done illustrations for books, magazines, and CD covers. Today, Valdez has focused on comics including, most recently, The Sleepy Truth for Viper Comics. When he's not working, Valdez loves traveling, really good books, and chocolate cake. Victor Rivas was born and raised in Vigo, Spain, and he now lives outside of Barcelona. Rivas has been a freelance illustrator since 1987, working on children and teen books, as well as magazines, posters, game animation, and comics. When he's not working, Rivas enjoys reading comics, watching cartoons and films, and playing strategy games. Most importantly he spends as much time as possible with his daughter, Marta.
