The book is divided into three sections: "Water," "Storms," and "Fire and Ice." Observant readers may well wonder why thunderstorms appear under "Water" while waves and waterspouts appear in the "Storms" section. The method of organization can be distracting. After an introduction by storm chaser and "cyclone cowboy" Warren Faidley, the remaining material is comparable to what a reader might find in any basic text about weather. An explanation of the ingredients that create weather-sun, water, and air-is followed by the text which includes floods, hurricanes, and a page about El Nino.
