The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of the most illustrative and informative books for children between the age group of 2 to 5 years. The book is basically the story of a caterpillar dissecting the pangs and toils of its life. The language of the book is very simple. About the Author
This book has been written by Eric Carle. Born in New York, Eric spent most of his early childhood in Germany. After working as a graphic designer at the New York Times, he later went on to become the art director of an advertising agency. Carle and his family have together opened the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Massachusetts which has been running successfully since 2002.
