About the Author Frieda Wishinsky writes picture books, chapter books and non-fiction. Born and educated in New York City, Frieda now lives in Toronto, Canada, with her family. Sue Heap is an exciting artist who has recently turned her talents to full-time children's book illustration. She has illustrated many black-and-white fiction titles and her picture book Cowboy Baby (Walker) won the 1998 Smarties Book Prize.
